Objective: The purpose of this research is to study the relationship between the expression of aldh1a1 and radiosensitivity in nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC),and to provide a basis for improving the clinical efficacy of NPC.Methods: 1.Select the tissue wax blocks of 69 NPC patients and the tissue wax blocks of 28 patients of nasopharyngitis with complete data stored in the pathology department of our hospital from January 2016 to January 2019 as the research object,through immunohistochemistry detect the different expression between ALDH1A1 in NPC tissues and nasopharyngeal inflammatory tissues,using SPSS to analyze the relationship between the expression of ALDH1A1 and the clinicopathological characteristics of NPC patients;2.In order to further study the relationship between the expression of ALDH1A1 and the radiotherapy sensitivity of NPC tissues,according to the radiotherapy effect,NPC tissues were divided into 52 cases of radiotherapy sensitive group and 17 cases of radiotherapy resistance group and the expression difference of ALDH1A1 was compared between the two groups;Results: 1.The positive rates of ALDH1A1 expression in NPC tissues and nasopharyngeal inflammatory tissues were 63.8%(44/69)and 32.1%(9/28)respectively.The positive rate of ALDH1A1 expression in NPC tissues was significantly higher than that in nasopharyngeal inflammatory tissues,and the difference was statistically significant(p <0.05);2.The expression of ALDH1A1 in NPC tissues was related to different T stage,N stage and clinical stages,and the difference was statistically significant(p <0.05);3.The positive expression rates of ALDH1A1 in the sensitive group and the resistance group were 55.8%(29/52)and 88.2%(15/17)respectively.The positive expression rate of ALDH1A1 in the sensitive group was significantly lower than that in the resistance group,and the difference was statistically significant.(p<0.05);4.The expression intensity of the NPC radiation therapy resistance group was higher than that of the radiation therapy sensitive group.The comparison between the two groups was statistically significant(p <0.05).Conclusion:1.The high expression of ALDH1A1 in NPC tissues is related to the T stage,N stage and clinical stage of NPC;2.The high expression of ALDH1A1 is associated with radiotherapy resistance in NPC tissues.
