| Objective:To evaluate the correlation between the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and the prognosis of gliomas by means of meta analysis, and to provide evidence-based medical evidence for the prognosis analysis and intervention of gliomas. Methods:Four Chinese databases were searched by computer: Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)VIP database,Wanfang database,CBM database.three English databases: Pub Med database,EMBASE,Cochrane Central Register of controlled trials(central). All the published blood was collected by the method of citation literature tracing A clinical study on the relationship between VEGF and the prognosis of glioma. The retrieval time has been since the establishment of the database. The data were extracted for quality evaluation and meta analysis with Revman 5.3 software. The literature was screened strictly according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The risk of bias was evaluated according to Newcastle Ottawa scale(NOS),HR and 95%CI were calculated and combined, forest map was drawn, and the bias was evaluated and published by funnel chart. Finally, the research method of switching random /fixed effect model was used Sensitivity analysis was performed. Results:The clinical study on the correlation between the expression of VEGF and the prognosis of gliomas included 19 literatures, including 7 Chinese literatures and 12 English literatures.Meta analysis of the results showed that The risk of death in VEGF high expression group was higher than that in VEGF low expression group(HR = 1.32,95% CI: 1.04-1.68,P = 0.02 < 0.05),suggesting that the expression of VEGF in glioma significantly affected the prognosis of patients, and had a higher risk of death. Conclusion:The expression level of VEGF in glioma can predict the survival period of patients, and it can be used as an indicator to determine the prognosis of patients with glioma. |
