Objective:The aim of the present study was to establish a reference interval of remnant cholesterol(RC)in Nanchong area, analyze its correlation with age, body mass index, fasting blood glucose, blood pressure and blood lipids, and the factors that affect the elevation of its level. Methods:The physical examination data of Nanchong Central Hospital from June 2018 to June 2019 were collected, including sex, age, body mass index, blood pressure, uric acid, fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol and abdominal ultrasound results.Non-HDL-C and RC were calculated respectively according to the formula:non-HDL-C=TC-HDL-C,RC=TC-(HDL-C+LDL-C).According to the exclusion criteria,we screened healthy people for physical examination and established a reference interval for remnant cholesterol. The level of RC was divided into groups by the above reference upper limit and quartile method respectively, and the prevalence trends of hypertension,hyperuricemia,diabetes,overweight/obesity,fatty liver, dyslipidemia and statistical differences of biochemical indexes were analyzed. The study analyzed the correlation between remnant cholesterol and age, body mass index, blood glucose, blood pressure and blood lipids, and discussed the factors that affect the elevation of remnant cholesterol.Results:1.The reference interval of RC for healthy people aged 18~70 years old in Nanchong was 0.06-0.77mmol/L.There was no significant difference in the reference interval of RC between different genders(P=0.782),but there was significant difference among different age groups(P<0.05).2.Age,BMI,the prevalence rates of hypertension, fatty liver,overweight/obesity,diabetes,hyperuricemia and dyslipidemia in HRC group were significantly higher than those in non-HRC group.According to the quartile method, age,BMI and the prevalence rates of hypertension, fatty liver,overweight/obesity,diabetes,hyperuricemia and dyslipidemia increased with the increase of RC level.3.Spearman correlation analysis showed that RC was positively correlated with age, blood pressure,BMI,FBTG,UA,TC,TG and non-HDL-C,and negatively correlated with HDL-C(P<0.001),but not correlated with LDL-C(P=0.976).Among them, the correlation with TG was the strongest(r=0.636,P<0.001).4.Logistic regression analysis showed that male,age,TG,TC,HDL-C,hypertension,diabetes and fatty liver were all influencing factors of RC.Conclusion:1.The study established the reference interval of remnant cholesterol in Nanchong. The reference interval of RC are significant difference statistically in age groupsand not difference statistically in gender.2.The level of RC is positively correlated withage,BMI and the prevalence rates of hypertension, fatty liver,overweight/obesity,diabetes,hyperuricemia and dyslipidemia.3.Male,age,HDL-C,TG,TC,hypertension,diabetes and fatty liver may be the influencing factors of RC level, among which TG is the strongest.
