| Objective Use technology of virtual autopsy to observe the imaging characteristics of postmortem corpses and to compare the specific diagnostic indicators of virtual autopsy with traditional autopsy.Exploratively combining new technologies and methods to highlight the advantages of the technology in the practice of forensic pathology and make up for its disadvantages. Methods Collecting actual cases with different causes as research objects, performing system autopsy after postmortem CT,and classifying cases according to the causes of death.Comparing and analyzing them with the corresponding anatomical results to evaluate the ability in exploring the main information of the corpses.Exploring new technologies and methods for virtual autopsy by combining medical image post-processing software,3D printing technology, laparoscopy technology, and basing on postmortem angiography. Results Postmortem CT can detect the 3D morphological characteristics of fractures and the accumulation of gas in various parts of the body. And can detect minor injuries in unconventional anatomical parts, which has obvious advantages over traditional autopsy. But,the resolution of MSCT is limited.New technologies and methods based on virtual autopsy have superiority in detecting lesions or injuries, and can effectively solve the problems in forensic practice. Conclusion The application of virtual autopsy technology and the exploration of new methods can make up for the lack of forensic pathological autopsy, and can become an alternative method of traditional autopsy to a certain extent. |
