Objective: Functional ankle instability is usually caused by the patient’s multiple ankle sprains, subjective feeling of ankle "instability",accompanied by the decline of ankle function, which leads to the increased risk of re injury. As a commonly used functional training method,Plyometric is considered to improve muscle strength, proprioception and balance ability, but whether it can help the rehabilitation of patients with functional ankle instability and which more effective training method is still unclear. Therefore, the Non-Countermovement Plyometric and Countermovement Plyometric were carried out for the patients with functional ankle instability to explore whether this training method can improve the ankle function and reduce the risk of injury. At the same time, the differences of the rehabilitation effects of these two training methods on the functional indexes such as ankle muscle strength, proprioception and posture control were compared So as to provide theoretical reference for the future injury prevention and rehabilitation training program selection of patients with functional ankle instability. Methods: Taking 28 people with functional ankle instability in Shandong Sport University as experimental subjects, they were randomly divided into an experimental group(male 9 female 5)and a control group(male 9 female 5).Train them for 6 weeks with Countermovement Plyometric and Non-Countermovement Plyometric. Before and after the experiment, subjects were tested for a nkle isokinetic(60 ° / s and 120 ° / s)muscle strength tests(plantar flexion, dorsiflexion, inversion and eversion),and ankle proprioceptive test(plantar flexion, back Flexion, inversion and eversion)and Y balance tests, using 2 × 2 [group(experimental group, control group)× training(before and after experiment)] Mixed-design ANOVA to determine training and group for functional ankle Effects of various functional indicators in patients with joint instability.Results:(1)After six weeks of Countermovement Plyometric and Non-Countermovement Plyometric, the Relative Peak Torque of dorsiflexion, plantar flexion, eversion and inversion of the two groups was increased(P < 0.05);at 60 ° / s,the Peak Torque of Eversion /Peak Torque of Inversion was increased(P < 0.05).But there was no difference between the Countermovement group and the Non-Countermovement group(P > 0.05).(2)After six weeks of Countermovement Plyometric and Non-Countermovement Plyometric, the proprioceptive difference indexes of plantar flexion, eversion and inversion of the Countermovement group and the Non-Countermovement group were decreased(P < 0.05).But there was no difference between Countermovement group and the Non-Countermovement group(P > 0.05).(3)After six weeks of Countermovement Plyometric and Non-Countermovement Plyometric, each of the reach distances and composite reach distance of the Countermovement group and the Non-Countermovement group were increased(P < 0.05).But there was no difference between the Countermovement group and the Non-Countermovement group(P > 0.05).Conclusion:(1)Six weeks of Countermovement Plyometric can significantly improve the ankle muscle strength, proprioception and balance ability, which is of clinical significance for the rehabilitatio n of functional ankle instability.(2)Six weeks of Non-Countermovement Plyometric can significantly improve the ankle muscle strength, proprioception and balance ability, which is of clinical significance for the rehabilitation of functional ankle instability.(3)The Countermovement Plyometric and Non-Countermovement Plyometric has basically the same effect on the training of functional ankle instability.
