A Retrospective Analysis Of Clinical Characteristics Of 300 Consecutive Patients With Memory Disorder In Outpatient Department Of Shengjing Hospital

Objective:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 300 consecutive patients registered in memory disorder clinic of shengjing hospital since January 2015 to study their clinical characteristics.The economic burden of AD patients in shenyang region was calculated from the questionnaire on the economic burden of Alzheimer’s disease patients in China filled in by patients with Alzheimer’s disease(AD),and the economic burden level of AD in shenyang region and the difference between it and the national level were investigated.Methods:In this study,300 consecutive patients with memory disorder in the outpatient department of shengjing hospital were selected from January 2015,and general demographic data and clinical characteristics of the patients were calculated.Demographic data included age,gender,education level,household address(rural or urban,local or foreign).Clinical information included diagnosis,head imaging results,arrival time,follow-up and duration of treatment,medication status and efficacy(improvement,stabilization,aggravation),MMSE score,BPSD,previous history(stroke,hypertension,diabetes),etc.The questionnaire on the economic burden of Alzheimer’s patients in China filled in by patients with AD was used to calculate the direct medical expenses of patients,including outpatient medical expenses and inpatient medical expenses.Direct non-medical expenses include transportation,accommodation and catering expenses,nutrition expenses,medical equipment expenses,and regular care expenses.Indirect costs include informal care costs and intangible costs.The total cost.SPSS17.0 was used for statistical analysis of data,and the single-sample t-test was used to analyze the difference between the average economic burden of AD patients in shenyang in 2015 and that of patients in China in 2015.Result: A total of 300 patients were enrolled,including 114 males and 186 females,aged between 42 and 86 years,with an average age of 65.51±9.53 years.There were 8 cases with no education,70 cases in primary school,103 cases in junior high school,78 cases in senior high school or technical secondary school,and 41 cases in junior college or above.There were 183 local and 139 non-local patients in shenyang.There were 263 cases of urban household registration and 37 cases of rural household registration.Alzheimer’s disease(AD),140 cases of vascular dementia(VaD)22 cases,mixed dementia(MD)19 cases,mild cognitive function impairment(MCI)in 27 cases,vascular cognitive dysfunction,including 13 cases of non dementia(VCI-ND),subjective cognitive dysfunction(SCI),15 cases variant FTD behavior(FTD-bv)in 5 cases,semantic dementia(SD)6 cases,progressive non fluent aphasia(PNFA)in 2 cases,cortical degeneration(CBD)6 cases in basal ganglia,DLB(LBD)6 cases,hydrocephalus(NPH)in 7 cases,There were 8 cases of Depression,4 cases of autoimmune encephalitis,3 cases of Vitamin B12 deficiency,3 cases of Alcoholic dementia,2 cases of Head Tumor,2 cases of Hypothyroidism,2 cases of Syphilis,and 1 case of Hepatic Encephalopathy.Paraneoplastic syndrome(Paraneoplastic syndrome)in 1 case,HIV Encephalopathy(AIDS Encephalopathy)in 1 case,not confirmed(Undiagnosed)in 5 cases.A total of 36 cases of shenyang local AD patients and family members to fill in the China financial burden of alzheimer’s patients questionnaire ",outpatient service cost 10754.51±1676.36(yuan/year).Respectively in shenyang area outpatient service medical treatment in patients with AD,hospitalization medical expenses,transportation,accommodation and catering,nutrition,medical equipment,regular care,care,intangible cost with the AD spend an average of a single sample t-test,the results showed outpatient service medical treatment(t = 64.642,p = 0.000),hospitalization medical expenses(t = 73.209,p = 0.000),transportation,accommodation and catering(t = 52.226,p = 0.000),nutrition(t = 10.745,p = 0.000),medical equipment(t = 299,P =0.000),formal care(t=-296.921,p=0.000),informal care(t=-672.213,p=0.000),and intangible expenses(t=-88.975,p=0.000)all showed significant differences(p < 0.05).Conclusions: This article through to the memory
