| Objective To explore the clinical value of 3D-BRAVO enhanced sequence in the diagnosis of meningeal carcinomatosis involving cranial nerves and the distribution characteristics of the involved cranial nerves, the sensitivity of enhanced sequence of3d-bravo and conventional enhanced sequence was compared. Methods 114 patients with meningeal carcinomatosis hospitalized from January2015 to March 2020 were collected, and their MR images were analyzed retrospectively. All patients took MR plain scan and enhanced scan. The enhanced scan sequences included conventional enhanced scan sequence and 3D-BRAVO enhanced scan sequence. These images were then reconstructed. The characteristics of meningeal carcinomatosis in two enhanced scans and the data of the involved cranial nerves came out subsequently.Result Among 114 patients with meningeal carcinomatosis,97 cases displayed meningeal enhancement, including 12 case of dural arachnoid enhancement,74 cases of leptomeningeal enhancement, and 11 cases of mixed enhancement.81 cases presented cranial nerve enhancement, with a high incidence of 71.05%.3D-BRAVO enhanced scanning sequence showed better quality of enhancement of cranial nerves than conventional enhanced scanning sequence by chi-square-test analysis. In this study, nerves involved include facial and auditory nerves(58.77%),trigeminal nerve(47.37%),oculomotor nerve(9.65%),hypoglossal nerve(8.77%),optic chiasma(5.26%),glossopharyngeal / vagal / accessory nerve(3.51%),abducent nerve(0.88%).Through chi-square test, the difference between the affected facial auditory nerve, trigeminal nerve and the cranial nerve in the remaining groups was statistically significant.Only 13(11.40%)patients had cranial nerve paralysis. Conclusion 3D-BRAVO enhanced scanning sequence is superior to conventional enhanced scanning sequence in the display of meningeal lesions in meningeal carcinomatosis,as well as that of involved cranial nerves in meningeal carcinomatosis;3D-Bravo enhanced scanning sequence can take the place of conventional scanning sequence for enhanced scanning. The facial and auditory nerve、trigeminal nerve are the main involved nerves in meningeal carcinomatosis. The radiologist should be vigilant for the facial and auditory nerve 、 trigeminal nerve when searching nerve involvement in meningeal carcinomatosis. |
