| Objective: To discuss the detection value and evaluate safety of capsule endoscopy(CE)for small bowel disease. Methods: Clinical data of 174 cases received CE were analyzed retrospectively from June 2012 to October 2018,including male 112 and female 62 age from12 to 82 years old, average age is 47.91.All patients are routinely examined by gastroenteroscopy and abdominal enhanced CT,the cause of the disease is not clear, and then capsule endoscopy was used for further diagnosis. To analyze the detection of lesions and complications and evaluate the value and safety of CE in small bowel disease. Results: The overall detection rate for intestinal rate is 65.52.The detection of CE for obscure gastrointestinal bleeding(OGIB)is 84.47%,and 38.03% for other reasons. The rate of capsule retention is 1.15%.The detection rate of OGIB was significantly higher than that of other reasons to do CE,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: CE is a safe and effective diagnostic method for small bowel disease, which has a high diagnosis value for intestinal disease, especially for OGIB,it may become a first-line inspection method, and the diagnostic of CE for other causes needs to be further refined and evaluated. |
