Objective: To investigate the expression of PTEN(phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome ten),insulin-like growth factor 1(IGF-1)and insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor(IGF-1R)in prostate cancer tissues and their clinical significance.Methods: The pathological tissue of 41 patients with prostate cancer was taken as the experimental group,and the pathological tissue was retained by prostate puncture or radical prostatectomy;21 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)tissue were collected as the control group,and the specimens were obtained by TURP or Ho LEP.Immunohistoche mistry was used to determine the expression of PTEN,IGF-1,and IGF-1R proteins in prostate tissue of the two groups.SPSS22.0 statistical so ftware was used to process the data obtained from the experiment,and the chi-square test was used to compare the positive rates of the two samples.P <0.05 considered that the two groups of samples were statistic ally significant.Results: The positive expression rates of PTEN in the control group(benign hyperplastic tissue)and the experimental group(cancer tissue)were: 0%(0/21),14.29%(4/28)(P>0.05).The positive expression rates of IGF-1 in the tissues of the control group and the experimental group were: 38.10%(8/21)and 69.44%(25/36)(P<0.05).The positive expression rates of IGF-1R in BPH tissues and PCa tissues were 85.71%(18/21)and 91.89%(34/37)(P>0.05).The positive expression rates of IGF-1 in prostate cancer specimens in PSA≤20ng/m L and PSA>20ng/m L groups were: 33.33%(3/9),81.48%(22/27);in Gleason score≤7 and Gleas on score>7 groups were: 58.33%(14/24)and 91.67%(11/12);in the distant metastasis and non-metastatic groups were: 93.75%(15/16),50%(10/20).The strong positive expression rates of IGF-1R in prostate cancer specimens in PSA≤20ng/m L and PSA>20ng/m L groups were: 22.22%(2/9),53.57%(15/28);in Gleason score≤7 and Gleason scores>7 groups were: 32%(8/25),75%(9/12);in distant and non-metastatic groups were: 41.18 %(7/17),50%(10/20).Conclusions: 1.The expression level of IGF-1 in prostate cancer tissues is signif icantly higher than that in BPH tissues.The expression of IGF-1 in PSA>20ng/m L,Gleason score>7,and distant metastatic prostate cancer groups is significantly increased.The IGF-1 signal system may be related to the occurrence and progression of prostate cancer,and it may become an index of early diagnosis and prognosis of prostate cancer in the future.2.The strong positive expression rate of IGF-1R in prostate cancer group with Gleason score>7 increased,suggests that IGF-1R may be related to the malignancy of prostate cancer.
