| Objective To compare the effectiveness and safety of the Shuo Tong ureteroscope(NPCU)combined with flexible ureteroscope and percutaneous nephrolithotomy(PCNL)in the treatment of complex upper urinary tract calculi. Methods Retrospective analysis of 82 cases of Complex upper urinary tract calculi in our hospital from June 2018 to December 2018,a group of 38 patients who were treated with Shuo Tong ureteroscope combined with flexible ureteroscope and another group of 44 patients who were treated with percutaneous nephrolithotomy. The mean stone size was(22.5 ± 6.6)cm for the NPCU group and(23.6± 4.4)cm for the PCNL group, without statistical significance(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in age, gender, and stone location between the two groups(P>0.05).We compared the duration of operation, postoperative hemoglobin declining levels, length of postoperative hospital stay, stone clearance rate, and complication rates between the two groups.ResultsThe operations were successfully completed in both groups. There was no statistical difference between the operation time of the Shuo Tongoscope group and the percutaneous nephroscope group, but the postoperative hospital stay, postoperative hemoglobin declining levels, and complication rate were statistically higher in the percutaneous nephroscope Group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in stone clearance rate between the two groups.ConclusionsShuo Tong ureteroscope combined with flexible ureteroscope is safe and effective in the treatment of complex upper urinary tract calculi, compared with percutaneous nephroscope,Shuo Tong ureteroscope combined with flexible ureteroscope have the advantages of shorter postoperative hospital stay、less bleeding and complications. |
