Clinical Analysis Of Sellar Region Tumors Combined Aneurysm In The Sellar Region

Objective:To explore the clinical features,diagnosis and treatment strategies of sellar region tumors associated with sellar aneurysm.Methods:This study was retrospective date of 833 patients with sellar region tumors diagnosed in our hospital from March 2014 to October 2017,cases divided into sellar region tumors associated with sellar aneurysm(n=76)and sellar region tumors group(n=757)according to whether associated with sellar aneurysms.Results:The differences in age,gender,smoking,and hypertension between the two groups were statistically significant(P <0.05),but types,size,and invasiveness of tumors between the two groups was no statistically significant difference(P> 0.05).The clinical features of sellar tumor associated with sellar aneurysm showed no difference(P >0.05).In SRTAA group,2 cases had pituitary adenomas associated with sellar aneurysms underwent endovascular treatment of aneurysms followed bytranssphenoidal surgery for pituitary adenomas;2 cases(1 case with meningiomas,1 case with pituitary tumor)had tumor resection and aneurysm clipping simultaneously;Because of pituitary apoplexy,3 cases underwent embolization of the aneurysm after tumor resection(2 cases for TSS,1 case for craniotomy),and all prognosis were good.ConclusionSellar region tumor associated with sellar aneurysm is an accidental phenomenon,of which clinical features are often caused by tumors.If aneurysms have indications for treatment(diameter > 5 mm or rupture)for patients with sellar region tumors associated with sellar aneurysm,the aneurysms should be treated preferentially or concurrently;aneurysms were synchronous or second stage surgery treated in the case of emergencies such as hydrocephalus or herniation;and prognosis is good.
