Objective 1.To analyze the knowledge system and teaching requirements of Medical Nursing,thereby designing the course content and making teaching videos to develop online resources in medical nursing curriculum.2.To construct the blended learning mode in medical nursing curriculum and to evaluate the effects among undergraduate nursing students.3.To explore a new teaching method suitable for baccalaureate nursing clinical course based on the online course,and to promote the reform of other nursing courses.Methods 1.Making teaching videos by designing the course content to guarantee the key difficult points were explained in depth according to the teaching syllabus of Medical Nursing,and add up additional learning materials to develop a complete online resource.2.Consult literature and organize collective lesson preparation to discuss the overall teaching design of the course,then construct the online-offline blended learning mode in medical nursing curriculum.3.Taking the class as the unit,class 1 and class 2 of undergraduate nursing students of grade 2016 from school of nursing were randomly divided into control group(n=151)and experimental group(n=118)by drawing lots.The experimental group adopted the blended learning while the control group used the case-centered classroom teaching method.After the teaching,students' academic performance was assessed in the two classes,and the self-designed general information questionnaire ? the self-directed learning ability and critical thinking ability(Chinese version)scale were used before and after the teaching.The effect of blended learning was also evaluated in the experimental group at the end of the course.Results 1.The online resources in medical nursing curriculum included 117 online teaching videos,covering 8 systems of the course,and there are 61 teaching cases,27 sets of assignments,10 sets of papers,47 extended reading articles and mind maps in online database.2.To complete the construction of online-offline blended learning mode in medical nursing curriculum.3.The effects of teaching practice:(1)The results of academic performance: The students in control group are generally superior to those in experimental group in the academic performance among seven professional basic courses before the Medical Nursing start teaching,and the differences showed statistically significant(P<0.05).After one school year's learning,there revealed no statistically significant difference in the academic performance in Medical Nursing between two classes of students(P>0.05).(2)The self-directed learning ability: After the implementation of the new teaching method,the scores of the dimensions of interpersonal communication in the experimental group was higher than the control group,and the difference showed statistically significant(P<0.05).There revealed significant difference(P<0.05)in the scores of three dimension of the self-directed learning ability and the total score before and after blended learning in the experimental group.The control group also revealed significant difference in the total score of the self-directed learning ability and two dimensions of “planning and implementation” and” self-management” before and after the case-centered classroom teaching.(3)The critical thinking ability: There showed no statistically significant difference in scores of each dimension of CTDI-CV,as well as the total score between two classes before and after receiving the new teaching method.After blended learning had implemented,the experimental group scored higher in the dimension of selfconfidence than before and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The control group which received case-centered classroom teaching achieved significant difference in the total scores and the dimension of truth-seeking and systematicity(P<0.05).(4)Evaluation of offline-online blended learning: More than 80.8% of students liked blended learning and thought it enhance their learning interest.And online selfregulated learning can promote learning motivation?learning strategies?learning effect and self-efficacy plus interpersonal interaction in undergraduate nursing students.Also students have a good evaluation of teachers' awareness and ability of network teaching.Conclusion 1.The application of blended learning in medical nursing curriculum is conducive to improving the teaching effect,promoting the mastery of knowledge in nursing undergraduates,and of great significance to the cultivation of students' learning interest and self-directed learning ability as well as clinical critical thinking.2.The design and application of blended learning based on the flipped classroom in baccalaureate nursing program in line with the requirements of the information age and the needs of students,which are worthy of application and promotion in the field of nursing education.
