Part Ⅰ Correlation Between Parameters of Diffusion Weighted Imaging,Dynamic Contra st-enhanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging and the Expression of Ki67 Protein in Prostate CancerObjective:To investigate the correlation between diffusion-weighted imaging(DWI)and dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging(DCE-MRI)parameters of prostate cancer and Ki67 protein expression. Methods:A total of 93 patients with prostate disease(including prostate cancer 、 benign prostatic hyperplasia and/or chronic prostatitis)confirmed by pathology were enrolled in the study.Multi-modality magnetic resonance imaging(mp MRI)was performed to obtain the time-signal intensity(SI-T)curve and peak time(Tmax)of the prostate cancer group and non-prostate cancer group.Maximum enhancement SI(SImax),fastest enhancement rate(Rmax)and automatically generate apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC)values were obtained;immunohistochemical was used to detect the expression of Ki67 and its correlation with MRI parameters.Result:The ADC values,Tmax,SImax and Rmax of the prostate cancer group and the non-prostate cancer group were(0.76±0.16)x10-3 mm2/s,(18.61±4.33)s,(1.74±0.39)%,(21.03±14.72)%,respectively;and(1.36±0.19)x10-3mm2/s,(37.45±19.51)s,(1.32±0.45)%,(10.11±6.22)%,the dif ference between the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.001).The ADC values,Tmax,SImax and Rmax of the Ki67 negative group were(1.26±0.25)x10-3mm2/s,(34.44 ±20.19)s,(1.37±0.47)%,(9.92±8.87)%,respectively;Ki67 low expression group were(0.95±0.36)x10-3mm2/s,(23.74±12.44)s,(1.62±0.40)%,(19.28±12.41)%;Ki67 high expression group were(0.70±0.06)x10-3mm2/s,(18.87±4.74)s,(1.85±0.45)%,(23.64±19.51)%.For Ki67 negative group,Ki67 low expression group and Ki67 high expression group, there were significant differences between these groups(H= 32.588,18.719,10.867,18.595;P < 0.05).However,there was no significant difference between the Ki67 low expression group and the Ki67 high expression group(P > 0.05).ADC values and Tmax were negatively correlated with Ki67(r =-0.50 and-0.37,P < 0.01);SImax and Rmax were positively correlated with Ki67(r = 0.29 and 0.36,P < 0.01).Conclusion:The ADC value of prostate cancer and DCE-MRI perfusion index are correlated with Ki67.The biological characteristics of prostate cancer can be evaluated non-invasively,and it can be used as an imaging biological indicator to predict the degree of tumor malignancy.Part Ⅱ Multi-modality MRI parameters correlate with the expression of the P504 s protein in prostate cancerObjective:To evaluate the expressions of P504 s,34β-E12,and P63 protein in PCa and the correlation between the parameters of multi-modality MRI and the expression of P504 s.Methods:We retrospectively analyzed the multi-modality MRI data on 43 PCa and 64 nonPCa patients. We obtained the signal intensity-time(SI-T)curve,maximum SI(SImax%),time to SImax(Tmax),rate of maximum enhancement(Rmax),and automatically generated apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC)values by conventional,diffusion-weighted and dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI,and determined the expressions of P504 s,34β-E12 and P63 in the prostatic tissues of the patients by immunohistochemistry.Result:Statistically significant differences were observed between the PCa and non-PCa groups in the positive expressions of P504s(83.7% vs 0%,P < 0.05),34β-E12(25.6% vs 91.0%,P< 0.05)and P63(25.6% vs 86.0%,P < 0.05)in the prostatic tissues, the ADC value([0.83±0.22]vs [1.34±0.28]x10-3mm2/s,P < 0.05),Tmax([21.30±10.78] vs [50.22±36.31] s,P < 0.05),SImax([1.75±0.39]% vs [1.24±0.41]%,P < 0.05),and Rmax([20.20±15.50]% vs [7.98±6.25]%,P <0.05).The expression of P504 s was correlated negatively with the ADC value and Tmax(r =-0.60 and-0.37,P < 0.01)but positively with SImax and Rmax(r = 0.50 and 0.45,P < 0.01).Conclusion:The parameters of multi-modality MRI are correlated with the expression of P504 s in PCa and can be used as imaging biomarkers for predicting the degrees of its malignancy.
