| Objectives 1.To explore the influencing factors of sleep disorders in elderly type 2 diabetes mellitus.2.To explore the correlation between cystatin C and carotid intimamedia thickness(CIMT)in elderly type 2 diabetesmellitus with sleep disorders.Methods Basedon the inclusion and exclusion criteria,a total of 131 elderlytype 2 diabetes mellitus aged 60 years old andabovewho were hospitalized in affiliated hospital of Qinghai university from November 2018 to November 2019 were selected.In this study,Pittsburgh sleep quality index questionnaire survey was conducted on all patients.General and laboratory data including cystatin C of all patients were collected.And carotid color ultrasonography was performed on all patients to record the values of CIMT.Based on the total PSQI score,the selected subjects were divided into the good sleep group(≤7 points)and the sleep disorder group(>7 points).Based on the CIMT value,the elderly type 2 diabetesmellitus with sleep disorders were divided into the normal CIMT group(<1.0mm)and the thickened CIMT group(≥1.0mm).According to the research purpose,SPSS25.0 software was used for statistical analysis of different groups of research objects.Results1.Among the 131 elderly type 2 diabetes mellitus,the detection rate of sleep disorders was 69.5%.Among the elderly type 2 diabetes with sleep disorders,the detection rate of CIMT thickening was 60.4%.2.In theelderly type 2 diabetes mellitus,there were more males than females in the group with sleep disorders,and Hb A1c%,Hb and the detection rate of CIMT thickening in the sleep disorder group were all higher than that in the good sleep group(P1=0.024,P2=0.036,P3=0.019,P4=0.007).3.In the elderly type 2 diabetes mellitus,CIMT thickening was an independent risk factor for sleep disorders(OR=0.390,P=0.022),and PSQI score was positively correlated with CIMT value(r=0.251,P=0.004).4.In the elderly type 2 diabetes mellitus,Hb A1c% was positively correlated with CIMT and Hb(r1=0.176,P1=0.044;r2=0.217,P2= 0.013).5.In the elderly type 2 diabetes mellitus with sleep disorders,both cystatin C and serum creatinine(Cr)were higher in the CIMT thickening group than in the normal group(P1=0.038,P2=0.028).6.In the elderly type 2 diabetes mellitus with sleep disorders,Cystatin C was positively correlated with CIMT value(r=0.265,P=0.011),and cystatin C was positively correlated with serum Cr(r=0.636,P<0.001).Conclusions1.In elderly type 2 diabetes mellitus,carotid intima-media thickness thickening is possibly an independent risk factor for sleep disorders and PSQI score is positively correlated with CIMT value.2.In the elderly type 2 diabetes mellitus with sleep disorders,Cystatin C is positively correlated with CIMT value and Cystatin C may be related to the occurrence and development of atherosclerosis. |
