Objectives:Conduct the Questionnaire survey to find out the possible adverse events faced by breast cancer survivors after breast surgery.Material and Methods:A cross-sectional descriptive studywas conducted in 100 women who were diagnosed with Breast cancerpost surgery in Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital,between June 2018 and August2018.100 name list of women with the diagnosis of breast cancer post-surgerywas taken from the registration office.We excluded those women who subsequently did not meet the study eligibility criteria.87 women meet the inclusion criteria and assessed their adverse events using the instruments BCPT(Breast Cancer Prevention Trial Symptom Scale)and CARE(Cancer Rehabilitation Evaluation System).Statistical analysis:Statistical Package for Social Scientists(SPSS)20.0 was used.Descriptive statistics,namely frequencies and percentages of categorical data were calculated.Chi-square test was used to compare problems associated with common menopausal symptom between the patients administered with and without tamoxifen.T-test was performed to show the relationship between the different variables and the problems.P value<0.05 was considered to be statistically significant.Results:The mean age of women at the time of the survey was 45.17 year.The most common modality of treatment they received was the combination of surgery,chemotherapy,and radiotherapy(72.4%).Based on the severity and frequency,the result shows that 54%of women suffered from social problem of difficulties in interaction with other people,52.9%of women reported onquite a bitunhappy with the own appearance,47.1%Of women reported on moderately felt worry about recurrent of cancer again,46%of women experienced moderately general aches and pain,36.8%of women reported on moderately felt sad and depressed,33.3%of women experienced moderately sleep problem and night sweat,40.2%of women reported on mild problem in concentrating.There was a significantdifferencein the comparison of menopausal problems hot flashes,night sweat,sleep problem,heart discomfort,dryness of vagina,loss of bladder incontinence(P=0.001),the sexual problem(P<0.020)between women with tamoxifen and without tamoxifen.Women with a diagnosis of Breast Cancer after Breast Surgery of age<45 years had a highermean rank score in psychological(2.21)in comparison to women aged>45 years.There was a significant difference(P<0.03)in the comparison of arm problem after Breast Surgery between women who have diagnosed BC at the stages of ?-? and women who were at 0-1 stagesConclusion:Nepalese BCwomen experience different physical,psychological,social,sexual problems which might need special attention during their follow up visits.
