The Development Of Guangdong Guqin Association And Its Effect On Social Musical Education

Guangdong guqin association,an important civil organization that strongly spreads the Lingnan guqin,which is an old musical instrument in south of the Five Ridges,is aimed at protecting,inheriting and developing the Lingnan guqin.Because of the support of Guangdong Musicians Association,Guangdong guqin association was established by Mr.Xinlun Yang,a master of Lingnan guqin,in 1980s and is thirty-five old.The first and second chairman of Guangdong guqin association is Mr.Xinlun Yang and Mr.Daoxiu Xie,respectively.The latter is a representative inheritor of Lingnan guqin art of national intangible cultural heritage.Present chairman is Mr.Dongxiao Xie,a representative inheritor of Lingnan guqin art of Guangdong provincial intangible cultural heritage.During the inheritance of Lingnan guqin,Guangdong guqin association provides not only the platform to study the guqin art,but also the chance to join and enjoy the musical activity of guqin for many people.Meanwhile,a string of excellent inheritor of Lingnan guqin was trained and the people living for guqin was enriched by Guangdong guqin association,thereby offering the dependable basis for the development of Lingnan guqin art.Based on the perspective of cultural geography,the effect of natural and cultural environment on Lingnan guqin was primarily explored and analyzed in the first chapter of current paper.Then the background of establishment and development of Guangdong guqin association was dissected upon the three levels including life custom,economic level and cultural art.In the second chapter,we elaborate the inheritance of Lingnan guqin from the faculty situation,curriculum provision and content,and cases of teaching platform,and investigate the current situation of inheritance of social musical education through systematic analyzing the background of historical events and important changes of Guangdong guqin association coupled with the current situation of social musical education of three teaching platforms of guqin including Qimu guqin club,Chengxin guqin club and Dafoshi guqin class.By summarizing the contribution of Guangdong guqin association in social musical education and analyzing the merit and demerit of its teaching platforms,some practical methods and improved strategies for Guangdong guqin association in social musical education was suggested in third chapter,which provide the theoretical reference for future development of Guangdong guqin association.
