With the progress of the times,people have a intenser pursuit for the bea uty of interior design.As a carrier of interior design,display art becomes an indispe nsable part of their material and cultural life,accompanying the result of rapid growi ng market demand.This environment brings a certain impact on traditional interior des ign mode,so display art designers turn gradually to be also buyers.Based on the situati on,this paper makes a core and thorough study on such development.Besides their res pective concept and function,the thesis summaries the overview and necessary abiliti es of a display art designer to be a buyer.In addition,it sums up some key points of thi s change such as the design planning,the procurement,the production process,the ins pection and the arrangement,according to the analysis on working points of traditiona l designers and buyers.At last,the paper gives a detailed description of the practice,co mbining with the display art design case of Shantou International Hotel.The author ho pes to construct a theoretical framework about this change for the perfection of its syst emic theory,as well to provide certain reference to its future research and practice.
