The Current Situation Research On The Sunan Yugur’ Belief Of Tibetan Buddhism

The present Yugur is considered to be formed by the descendants of the Gaizhou Uighurs,such as the Surrey Uighurs and the later Mongolian,Tibetan and other ethnic groups in Gansu.Yugu people are mainly living in this province of Gansu Province Zhangye City Sunan Yugu Autonomous County.Tibetan Buddhism was introduced into the Yugur area earlier,and gradually became the general religious beliefs of the Yugur.After the founding of more than half a century,Sunan Yugur social life and other aspects of the dramatic changes in its Tibetan Buddhist faith was also a break.Since the reform and opening up,with the development and implementation of the new religious policies of the Party and the state,there have been some signs of recovery in the Tibetan Buddhist beliefs in the Yugu Yugur area.However,due to historical,social,economic,educational and other factors,Sunan Yugur Tibetan Buddhist faith development has been relatively slow,but in recent years only show some obvious revival trend.In this paper,the present situation of Tibetan Buddhism in Suan Yugur is taken as the object of study.Using the method of literature,in-depth observation,interview and questionnaire,The status quo of Tibetan Buddhism in the Yugur,including the distribution of monasteries,the religious activities of the believers,and the characteristics of the manifestations and the reasons for the changes.Finally,it analyzes the influence of Tibetan Buddhism on Yugur and the future development trend.
