| Translated by William M.P.Matin,Wan Guo Gong Fa is a miracle in the history of Chinese legal translation and legal modernity.However,the creation of any great things is not accidental,which is inseparable from the effect and influence of history and society.The research of Wang Guo Gong Fa needs a comprehensive study in combination of the social situation at that time.Therefore,this thesis studies Wan Guo Gong Fa at macroscopic,mesoscopic and microscopic levels by introducing three core concepts of Bourdie’s Field Theory,namely Field,Capital and Habitus to analyze the influence of social history,the translator’s upbringing experience,occupational habitus and thinking preferences.After stating the research purpose,significance and method,the paper briefly introduces the research situation of Wan Guo Gong Fa and the application of Bourdieu’s sociology in translation at home and aboard.Then,this thesis will construct a theoretical framework by introducing the concept of Field Theory and analyzing the relationship between the theory and translation.After a brief introduction about Wan Guo Gong Fa and it’s translator,this thesis will analyze Wan Guo Gong Fa from perspectives of the historical necessity of its emergence,the involvement of the translator’s capital in translation process and the influence of the translator’s habitus in translation strategies and methods by using the concept of Field Theory.Finally,the paper puts forward the conclusion,points out the weakness and states implications for the future study. |
