| Humanity’s most fundamental relationship is with what we eat.For thousands of years,Chinese people value everything related to food.Since the big success of A Bite of China Season 1,food documentaries have been very popular on TV.Both CCTV and the local media have made a lot of food documentaries,they use cameras to raise the broad and profound food culture of the Chinese nation to a higher level.Rouyan,the Taste of Fuzhou is a documentary about Rouyan,a great delicacy of Fuzhou.It focuses on an inheritor of intangible cultural heritage who has run a Rouyan workshop for over 30 years.By filming the complex craftsmanship of making Rouyan,it makes the audience understand Rouyan is not easily come by.The interview with the inheritor carries out in-depth,embodies all the love he bears towards the craftsmanship and his determination to develop it.This study tries to analyse the technique of expression of food documentaries which are based on local delicacies by deconstructing and analysing Rouyan,the Taste of Fuzhou from the angles of scenario and montage. |
