Critical Thinking Competency Standards,a new educational book,mainly expounds the importance of critical thinking and teaches people how to think critically.The text of the book belongs to social science texts of vocative texts,for the purpose of spreading the latest social science research achievements to the public.In order to help people better understand the latest research achievements in the international environment,the translator carried out this translation practice,by translating the text into Chinese under the equivalence theory,hoping to popularize the knowledge about critical thinking and to improve people’s ability of critical thinking and analyzing.Moreover,the translator hopes to further improve his own ability of translating and solving the problems in the process of translation.
