The report is based on the author’s experience in 2016 Israeli ICT Roadshow in China where the author provided interpreting service for representatives from China and Israel. In this interpreted event, interpreter’s subjectivity consciousness was given full play to facilitate the smooth going-on of communication.Interpreters not only serve as information transmitters but also actively participate in communicative events. They assume multiple roles in interpreting process, such as co-interlocutor,coordinator,assistant,and consultant, through which their subjectivity consciousness is manifested. In this report, the author analyzes the interpreting cases from the roadshow in three aspects, that is,visibility, empowerment and non-neutral stance.Meanwhile, the task background, preparation for the assignment,on-site interpreting and self-reflection are delineated in the report.Besides, the author delves into the interpreting strategies adopted in the process of manifesting subjectivity consciousness, including addition,filtering,turn-taking and so forth. The author hopes that this report can serve as references for other interpreters, enabling them to improve on-site interpreting techniques and deliver better service to parties involved in the interaction.
