| "Water is the source of life",it profoundly affects people’s survival,production and life,and without it,people’s activities will not be carried out smoothly.This article is a folklore ethnography of water and villages in Taixi region.It focuses on dynamic water usage of daily life and the practice of the village’s social change.This paper focuses on the daily life of the village,which includes the folk inheritance and the cognition attitude of villagers to their village.The related discussions of every aspect of the social life focus on water can make us fully understand the relation between the natural environment and the development of a village,which sets an example for the "sustainable development" road in our country.In the context of the decline of many villages in China,it is necessary but our obligation to record the village’s past,which can help us understand the countryside better.At the same time,we can learn the evolution of a rural grassroots community at he present time,which can provides a concrete case for our current social governance.The thesis is divided into five parts.The introduction firstly discusses the origin and significance of the research,research review,thesis structure and basic idea,research methods and data sources.The first chapter includes three parts,village Context and economy,histories and Memories of this village,and festivals and beliefs,which make a brief introduction of the nature and human environment.The second chapter begin with the tough experiences of water usage and unique water-saving habits,through personal narrative material fully describes the villagers’ status of water utilization in their daily lives to explore the foundation of their work hard spirit.The third chapter mainly talks about different kinds of facilities of taking and using water,from each family to the whole village,and even the layout of the village,to present villagers’ wisdom and the spirit of mutual aid.The fourth chapter mainly analyzes how the water affects the marriage orientation and the rise and decline of this village.The conclusion includes three parts,that the water affects the concept and customs,the local people’s rural identity,and the rise and decline of this village. |
