The Study On Pottery Production And The Producing Organization Of Jiaojia Site

Dawenkou culture is one of the most significant civilizations in prehistory of the lower Huang-Huai region,which is linked up closely with the following Longshan culture.During this period,the ability to transform nature had greatly enhanced as well as the handicraft production.As the result,the social wealth had been constantly accumulated.Pottery,as the product when people work on nature,is closely related to ancient human life.Based on the previous research findings,this paper summarizes the pottery technique of the Jiaojia Site and conduct preliminary analysis and discussion to organization of pottery production.This paper is divided into five parts as follow.Part one,the introduction.The main content of introduction is to review the history of research on Chinese pottery production process,summarize the characteristics of each stage,and clarify the research ideas and methods of this paper.Part two,the overview of the Jiaojia Site.This part briefly introduces the geographical location and general situation of the jiaojia site.Beside,the part also makes briefly introduction about the excavations on 2016-2017,and illustrates the material of the study.Part three,Middle and Late Dawenkou Pottery Producing Research in Jiaojia Site.This part is also the most important part in this dissertation.Firstly,illustrating the pottery formation technology,trimming and decoration technology in theory,and then taking tripoid in Fu-shape,Single-handled Cup,Dou and Gui as the typical vessel,and then trying to discuss the producing technology with the combination of chronological sequence.This dissertation suggests that the pottery producing technology in Jiaojia is mainly in clay-strip building method,while it could be made in one time or more than once.During the trimming,the mostly used tools are scrapers and slowly-wheeled method.The pottery style is bare,it is quite rare on the decoration.Part four,Pottery Producing Organization.This part is based on related theories,by analyzing the name and data from Jiaojia’s pottery,classifying the pottery category,and then assuming the pottery producing technology and organization.Part five,Conclusion.This part tries to summarize the main view in this dissertation,and then listing the probable problems.
