Comparative Study On The Performance Characteristics Of Watercolour Painting In North And South China

There are different regional styles of China’s watercolor landscape painting because of different regional features of China.No matter whether Chinese watercolor painting is on the subject matter,or the language of artistic expression,it is closely related to the unique external factors of China.The artistic style with different style and distinctive style not only enriches the connotation of the water color of our country,but also embodies the national character of Chinese watercolor painting,so it can be seen that regional nature is an indispensable factor in the art creation.The regional nature of this study is a comprehensive expression of the environment and age factors of watercolor painter’s life growth,not a single regional landform difference.Through the analysis of books,periodicals,and cases,this paper analyzes the reasons for the formation of watercolor differences between the north and the south of China from three aspects of historical causes,geographical causes and social causes in the South and north of China.Then it studies the painting style of representative painters in various regions,and compares,analyses and generalize the watercolor painting with regional interest and different scenery from the perspective of painting themes,colors,techniques and composition.From this,we can see the diversity of watercolor painting and promote the regional development of Chinese watercolor landscape.This paper is divided into three parts.In the first part,the author analyzes the causes of the difference in the characteristics of the north and south watercolor in three different angles.The second part is the key point of this thesis.It makes a detailed comparison between the two macroscopic aspects of spiritual characteristics and material characteristics,and through representative painters’ works to describe.The third part is the comparative analysis of the characteristics of the north and South watercolor,reflecting its artistic value and its influence on the future development of watercolor art.Through the comparison of the characteristics of water color in the north and South of China,we can see that watercolor painters pay more and more attention to their understanding of society from a regional perspective,thus,the development of watercolor art will be diversified.Through this paper,let’ s learn about the regional influence on watercolor painting.At the same time,We also recognize more differences and shortcomings in art of the north and south region.It reminds us not only to pay attention to our own regional culture but also to understand the art and culture of other regions,to narrow the gap and to fill up its own shortcomings.
