| "Yezi"is like today’s playing card.It is a popular game played by the ancients when they were dringing,with printed characters,inscriptions and wine orders.This game first appeared in the Han Dynasty,and the game method in the Ming Dynasty was probably perfected and gradually evolved into "Ma Diaopai"."ShuiHuYeZi"is a series of works of printmaking."ShuiHuYeZi "painted by Chen HongShou in the late Ming Dynasty.His works not only enjoyed a good reputation at that time,but also had a profound influence on the creation of later figure paintings.The work is based on the character’s temperament in "Water Margin" novels,displaying a variety of witty and interesting prints.The works of "ShuiHuYeZi" depict 40 heroes of Liangshan in the novel Water Margin respectively.Chen Hongshou combined personal subjective feelings to create an image of a unique character.In the picture,Chen Hongshou use more vertical and parallel lines.The lines are vivid and powerful,full of flat decoration aesthetics.In the works,character modeling is influenced by folk art.On the other hand,folk shadow plays and folk dramas also have a good inspiration for the work.This paper takes "ShuiHuYeZi" as the research object and puts his works in the trend of the art development in the late Ming Dynasty.First,it analyzes the style of Chen Hongshou’s teacher’s origin and figure painting,and then studies the unique features of the characters in the works with a specific painting.It focuses on the analysis of the flatness,decorative and folk artistic features of the characters in the works "ShuiHuYeZi";and finally discusses the influence of the character modeling features in the "ShuiHuYeZi" on the painters of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. |
