A Study On The Evolution Of Yungang "Flying Devis" Based On Han Painting "Feathered Figure"

The carving stones with images in Han Dynasty,important historical relics,are used to examine Han Culture and society.Han paintings of "Feathered Figure" are one of the important images on the carving stones,reflecting the ideological concepts of Confucianism and Taoism in the Han Dynasty.The Yungang Grottoes in the Northern Wei Dynasty are historical facts about the development of Buddhism in China."The Flying Devis" is one of the important images and reflects the historic ritual of Buddhism’s Chinesization.The Han Dynasty painting "Feathered Figure"and Yungang "The Flying Devis" are the symbols that represent the culture of the times.They have a certain connection between content and form.With regard to the transformation of "Feathered Figure",there are different views of "West China" and"Integration".Based on the perspectives of history,religion,and images,this paper examines the relationship between "Feathered Figure"and "The Flying Devis" about their cultural background and artistic image.Therefore,it puts forward a more reasonable view on the evolution of Yungang’s "Flying Devis".The first two parts of the article respectively study the cultural background and artistic image of the Han painting "Feathered Figure" and Yungang "The Flying Devis".The third part concludes that the two have evolved sequentially in history;both religions have a Taoist culture;the image is all flying gods,and the late Yungang"The Flying Devis" incorporates the gene features and aesthetic sense of the Han painting "Feathered Figure";functionally both are the image expressions of pursuing the high-level life meaning.They have the common function,being the bridge between human beings and gods.The fourth part infers that the transformation of Yungang "The Flying Devis" cannot be generalized,and it should be specifically targeted according to the time and style of its construction,as well as the early westernization style of the“The Flying Devis" in Yungang,its fusion style of the medium-term flying,and its Chinesization style of late period.
