| Cooperation is the general rule of human society, and the cornerstone of human survival and development. The universality and diversity of cooperaton have led researchers from different disciplines to carry out a great deal of research work: biology explains cooperation preferences via “inclusive fitness” between kinships;zoology uses “direct reciprocity” to interpret non-relatives cooperation among social animals;sociology explains cooperative preference among the groups through "individual group";psychology believes that individuals’ recognition of social identity from other people can amplify their cooperative tendencies because of the theory of social identity.Cooperative preference is a stable tendency that people choose to cooperate with groups in which people share certain characteristics. In traditional societies, people’s cooperation is based on kinship, and extended outward through geographical relations. The cooperation network formed by kinship and geographical relationships constitutes one of the main characteristics of the rural society. This has created a strong preference for kinship cooperation and geopolitical cooperation preferences of the Chinese.Industrialized production methods require people to cooperate more with strangers and weaken people’s tendency toward traditional relationships.Although an individual’s submission to this value criterion in a certain situation shows an explicit cooperative attitude, relatively stable implicit cooperative preferences may more widely predict the individual’s cooperation intention and cooperative behavior.Implicit association testing is an indirect measure of the individual’s strength in the automation of two concepts. In this study, two sets of implicit association tests were used to explore the relationship between people’s kinship cooperation preferences and geographical cooperation preferences.65 subjects(low/medium/high cooperation experience)were selected to examine their links to “kinship/non-kinship” and “cooperation/non-cooperation”.The results show that people have significant implicit kinship preferences, that is,relative to non-relative relationships, they tend to cooperate with kinship relations;implicit kinship cooperation preferences will be affected by cross-kinship cooperation experience, and the higher the cooperation experience, the connection is even weaker.30 subjects(low cooperation experience and high cooperation experience)were selected to examine their links to “inside-provincial/outside-provinces” and “cooperation/non-cooperation”.The results show that people have a significant tendency of implicit geopolitical cooperation, that is,they tend to cooperate with people in the province more than those outside the province;implicit geopolitical cooperation preferences will be affected by cross-geopolitical cooperation experience, and the higher the cooperation experience, the connection is even weaker. Finally, the results are discussed and explained in terms of the related theory;we put forward the theoretical and practical significance of this research, and the deficiency and where needs improvements is also pointed out. |
