This paper will be "fatherhood of Confucian culture" as the investigation object,through combing the content and characteristics of Confucian fatherhood,and combined with the analysis of the status of contemporary Chinese parent to trying explain that Confucian's father image is not only critical power,domineering,Confucian fatherhood can not only by the patriarchal one has brought,and in the current social paternal construction and modeling father's role in the current social,Confucian fatherhood still has positive function and value.Chinese people are very value family,this because of the characteristic of think no end of family of Confucian culture.In traditional Chinese family,because the spindle between father and son,so father and mother roles in family status,for the transaction of the family,children education shows the three main aspects of differences and inequality.Although this is unequal to criticize feudal color,but we also want vigilance and homogeneity tendency against father and mother.Father's role has three meanings:physiological involved in the production of offspring;Parenting;to future generations to spiritual influence,and the latter two are more important.The concept of fatherhood is that the people who live in a culture,the common admits,looking forward to,the father image should be the sum of all the characteristics of the property.Confucian paternal breed in Confucian culture that contains the following three main virtues:pay attention to filial piety,moral,and attach importance to their children's education.Patriarchal as a representative product of the feudal autocratic rule subjected to severe criticism in China since modem times.When we are going to review the criticism with the Angle of the present,as well as its great historical significance and value for certain,but also to clearly recognize the side effects.It is because there is no role for traditional father do full inspection,the patriarchal between intentionally or unintentionally become were completely denying the "face".Therefore,we should use the dialectical view,now on the strong traditional Chinese father role with Confixcian color,and looking for can produce positive effects on paternal construction nowadays.Based on the father role and paternal construction existence question,pointed out the need to inherit and carry forward the Confucian father role of virtue and basically has the following three aspects.First,to the Confucian filial piety culture as the background,establish the new contemporary father filial piety idea;secondly,on the basis of all of the Confucianism,cultivating the father's good moral character;finally,in the Confucian godson way for reference,to improve the educational capacity of contemporary father.
