Study On The Archaeological Remains Of Erlitou Period In Southeast Of Shanxi Province

Southeast region of Shanxi has an important geographical position since ancient times,but there is less Erlitou archaeological data in this area.According to the excavated archaeological materials and summary of previous related research results,the paper focuses on analyzing the nature of Erlitou archaeological remains by using analysis method of cultural factors,and proposes that the Erlitou cultural relics in the southeast region of Shanxi,which is equivalent to about Dongxiafeng third,namely four period of Erlitou culture,are in the Dongxiafeng type.And the paper compares it with the archaeological culture around the same period,and finds out the relationship between them in a large historical background.This paper also analyzes the communication and conflict of three kinds of culture,namely Xia culture,Yi culture and Shang culture,in the area,we can see that the Xia Yi Shang three family situation also has a profound impact on the southeastern area of Shanxi Province.There are two reasons of Dongxiafeng type's expansion to the southeast of Shanxi Province in the four phase of the Erlitou:the first reason is the need of the natural resources,the second is the demand for military considerations,that is,in order to prevent the businessman across Taihang Mountain on a "narrow winding trail" to the west,the Xia Dynasty compelled the Dongxiafeng type of Erlitou culture to continue expanding eastward,aiming to resist the threat of the culture of the period of before Shang.
