Because of the development of a series of factors such as politics,economic and civilization,the Northern Song Dynasty became the peak of the Chinese landscape painting history.As one of the most famous artist in the Northern Song Dynasty,Guo Xi is the key figure to the Chinese landscape painting in Northern Song Dynasty research.He came from no one,until he was called to the imperial painting academy in the first year of Xining.At first,he learned from Master Li Chen,later he came out with a style of his own.At then,his chinese painting technique and artistic theories are out of the common run.He wrote a book about his technique and theories called Lin Quan Gao Zhi,and it always been the one of the most important book in chinese painting history.In his life time,he created countless work,but only few of them are being preserved until now,such as the Early Spring,Spring Snowy Mountain,the village sight and the silence valley.As the one of Guo Xi’s masterpieces,took a great place in the history of Chinese landscape painting.This work describes the autumn view,and for responding the demands of the society,he leaded his artistic theories into his work,made his work so unique.Guo Xi showed his own spiritual world through his work.Great work should has the ability to express the artist’s mind,and even more room to receives the feelings from the audience;the work is the cross point when the minds come across,that’s when the work will come alive.So,as the creator of the work,what are the basic ideas should be brought up?
