A Study On "Jin Siku Quanshu Biao" (进<四库全书>表) And The Two Notes Of It

The compilation of Siku quanshu(四库全书),is one of the major events in the history of chinese culture.And its by-product,Siku quanshu Zongmu(四库全书总目),has been a necessary book for ancient literary and historical researchers since it was published.At the beginning of Zongmu(总目),there is a parallel prose official document of nearly four thousand characters,that is,the so-called“Jinshubiao”(进书表).Although it has been widely spread with Zongmu(总目)over the past 200 years,few people have paid special attention to it,not to mention comprehensive understanding on it.The first part of this thesis is to confirm that both of "Jin Siku quanshu Biao"(进<四库全书>表)and"Siku quanshu Gaocheng inbiao“(<四库全书>告成进表)could be the name of it,according to naming conventions for "Jinshubiao"(进书表)and its own characteristic.Through the analysis of the phenomenon of ghostwrite,it is determined that the writer is Ji Yun(纪昀),and through the collection and summary of the related works’ sporadic citations and comments of it,we have had a new understanding its historical value and literary value.The second part proves that the so-called transcript in Qing Dynasty(清)of Siku quanshu Biao Zhu(四库全书表注),which preserved in the National Library of China,is the hand manuscript of Li Wentian(李文田).In the third part,we discussed the two editions of Siku quanshu Biaowen Jianshi(四库全书表文笺释)and its author Lin Henian(林鹤年),clarifying the misunderstanding.The last part discusses the similarities and differences between Biao Zhu(表注)and Jianshi(笺释).In general,both of them are worth reading.
