Theory Of Contemporary Chinese Subjective Documentary Photography

In the rapidly developing society,people’s exploration of new things and their inherent curiosity have created the so-called "subjective documentary photography" that has quietly moved away from the essential characteristics of "documentary" and has become increasingly fierce.Therefore,the subjective theoretical study of "documentary photography" must be accelerated in order to create more connotative works for people on the basis of not breaking away from the "documentary".By studying the development of contemporary documentary photography and the status of its creation,the author believes that contemporary Chinese "subjective documentary photography" must have the essential characteristics of documentary photography,which is separated from the "matrix" and can only be considered as a separate matter.The article discusses this point of view in the following four directions:First,subjective documentary photography is a category of documentary photography.The subjective representation of subjective thoughts,concepts,emotions,etc.is a subjective representation of objective reality by the photographer through his artistic accomplishment.Crystallization;secondly,the subjective reappearance is based on the relationship between "human beings,people and society,and people and nature",and on the basis of not breaking away from reality,focusing on the phenomena of documentary value that occurs in social changes;The subjective documentary shows the characteristics of multiple forms of style in contemporary China.Finally,the expounding of subjective documentary is the reference and promotion of the early documentary exploration practice.It is the inevitable result of "documentary"obtained with the development of today’s society.And in this way,its manifestations,humanistic perspectives,and aesthetic interventions have extended the multiple personality characteristics of contemporary documentary photographic expression styles.
