The Study Of Female Education And Feminine Literature In Song Dynasty

Song Dynasty attached great attention to culture and education,the achievements in literary and artistic have been acknowledged.As an important component of ancient Chinese literature,female literature has made remarkable progress during this period.The central idea of this paper is to explore the situation of women’s education in Song Dynasty,as well as their performance in literary creation based on the education,the studies of these two areas are to evaluate the importance of women’s education to literary creation.Except abstract,introduction and conclusion,this article would be divided into 4 parts.The first part is an overview of female education in Song Dynasty.The writer would sort out the female’s creation in the Song Dynasty,analyzing the education level of women in that time,then exploring the confinement of feudal ethics and the new changes in Song Dynasty compare with those of the previous dynasties.The second part is about the female education of Song Dynasty in different social classes.The women of the Song Dynasty are divided into 3 social classes: court aristocratic women,official family women and civilian women.Considering their living conditions from different classes,this paper would analyze their educational situation from the aspects of the form,content and objective of education they receiced.Under the background of attaching importance to culture and education in Song Dynasty,the reasons of women spread less works would be explored.In the third part,the female literature creation of Song Dynasty would be evaluated.Based on the female literature creation from different classes,this paper would explore the achievements and characteristics of the women in the literature creation after receiving the education in different classes.In the last part,the essay would investigate the influence of female education on female literature creation in Song Dynasty.First of all,it is widely agreed that female education in Song Dynasty furtherance the awakening of female self-consciousness.Secondly,the popularization of culture at that time motivate the creation of female literature.As a result,the female literature of Song Dynasty became a peak in the history of ancient Chinese female literature.Thirdly,the achievements of women in education and literature in Song Dynasty directly influenced the later female literary creation,and had inspired and supported the creation of female literature in Ming and Qing dynasties.
