| At the moment,we are in the era of innovation-driven development and entrepreneurial vitality.Entrepreneurship can promote economic development,promote social progress,bring a lot of job opportunities,and alleviate employment problems.The government has issued the strongest call to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship.The group of college students is one of the most innovative and entrepreneurial potential groups and has been highly valued by the government during this new wave of entrepreneurship.As the number of college graduates has increased year after year,the employment problem of college graduates has attracted the attention of the society.Encouraging college graduates to start their own businesses has become one of the important measures to alleviate the employment problems in colleges and universities.Previous studies have shown that entrepreneurial intentions can predict entrepreneurial behavior well.Therefore,this study explores the factors that influence the entrepreneurial intention of college graduates,and explores the mechanism of the influence of the college graduates’ temporal self and entrepreneurial efficacy on entrepreneurial intention.This study uses the temporal self-evaluation adjective list,entrepreneurial efficacy scale,and entrepreneurial intention scale to investigate 459 college graduates from five universities in Henan Province,in order to explore the relationship between the temporal self,the entrepreneurial efficacy and the entrepreneurial intention of the college graduates.The study found that:(1)In the context of Chinese culture,compared with the past self and the present self,the college graduates tend to make more positive evaluations and less negative evaluations of future self.There are also differences in present self evaluation and past self evaluation,and college graduates tend to make more negative evaluations and less positive evaluations of past self.(2)There is a significant difference in the entrepreneurial efficacy of college graduates between the two demographic variables of their majors and whether they are student leaders.(3)There is a significant difference in the entrepreneurial intention of college graduates in the three demographic variables of gender,majors and whether they are student leaders.(4)There are significant positive correlations in one another among college graduates,positive past self,positive present self,positive future self and entrepreneurial efficacy and entrepreneurial intention;There are significant negative correlations in one another among negative past self,negative present self,negative future self and entrepreneurial efficacy and entrepreneurship intentions.(5)The entrepreneurial efficacy of the college graduates plays a completely mediating role between positive past self and entrepreneurial intention,negative past self and entrepreneurial intention,positive present self and entrepreneurial intention,positive future self and entrepreneurial intention;Entrepreneurial efficacy plays a partial mediating role between negative present self and entrepreneurial intention,negative future self and entrepreneurial intention.Therefore,the college graduates’ temporal self,entrepreneurial efficacy and entrepreneurial intention are closely related.Entrepreneurial efficacy plays a mediating effect between temporal self and entrepreneurial intention. |
