Public English is an important compulsory course offered by the University to help students master the knowledge and skills necessary for language communication in modern society.Higher vocational colleges in public English teaching should highlight the "employment-oriented",combined with the reality,emphasizing the application of the main.However,at present,most of the public English teaching traditions of the past in higher vocational colleges,and the teaching mode of undergraduate colleges are copied.The quality of teaching is not satisfactory.Therefore,this paper attempts to analyze the current vocational college English teaching in the implementation of the"employment-oriented" practice in the existing problems,trying to meet both vocational colleges to meet the objective needs of quality education,but also to guide students to master Solid English basic skills,and in the actual work,to English as a tool to carry out nursing activities of the activities of the reform measures.The full text is divided into five chapters.Chapter one is introduction.The background of the research,the basis of the topic selection,the significance of the topic selection and the literature review at home and abroad are described.In the second chapter,taking the nursing specialty of Shao-yang Medical College as an example,through the questionnaire survey of teachers,students and health care workers,the selection of teaching objectives,the selection of teaching mode,the selection of professional teaching materials,the construction of teaching staff and teaching evaluation And to understand the current situation of public English teaching in nursing specialty of Shao-yang Medical College and to summarize it.In the third chapter,on the basis of the current situation investigation,it is pointed out that there are still some fundamental changes in the teaching idea of public English teaching in nursing specialty of Shao-yang Medical College,the lack of occupation of teaching and teaching content,the teaching method is too traditional,the teacher English teaching ability Lack of teaching evaluation system is not reasonable and other aspects of the problem,and attribution analysis.In the fourth chapter,the author puts forward the idea of"employment-oriented" teaching reform of public English in the nursing specialty of Shao-yang Medical College.It is believed that according to the actual needs of English professional skills in the future,it is necessary to establish a teaching concept Vocational-oriented curriculum structure,select the professional English textbooks to match,strengthen the employment-oriented "double teacher" teacher team construction and employment ability as the standard of the diversified evaluation system.Chapter 5 analyzes the conclusions and puts forward the research prospect.
