The Belief Of God And The Value Of Man—Shi Tiesheng’s Theory Of Thought

"Shi Tiesheng is a writer who conscious writing and thinking for all human beings that is very rare in the contemporary novelist" From the experience of his disability life,he came to understand the fragmentary nature and fundamental situation of human beings,and found a way from the limited to the infinite and from the human nature to the divinity.All throughout Shi Tiesheng’s works,it can be found that his works are based on two themes of God and people.He found his faith in the contemplating of unfortunate fate,and discovered the existence of human spiritual dimension in his concern of secular life.Knowing the greatness of God and knowing the difficulty of man,he is is not only wary of the madness of“making man into God",but also not indulging in an unprepared fate.,accepting the unaltered destiny setting,exerting the active spirit of human being,perceptively aware of the individual’s heart trouble,cherished individual’s life feelings,and seeking for a ultimate way for the people’ love and wish to resolve and make up the defects caused by difficulties,which constitute the main contents of Shi Tiesheng’s thought.The main part of this paper is divided into three chapters.Shi Tiesheng’s thought are discussed from the three aspects of the journey of seeking faith in the heart,the discovery and affirmation of the existence of individual life and the spiritual dimension and the ultimate way of human beings.The first chapter,based on Shi Tiesheng’s creative process,diachronic combs Shi Tiesheng’s attitude to his own suffering and fate。There are three stages from evasion,to acceptance,to aesthetic and gratitude.In the course of facing the fate of suffering,he contemplates the handicap of all living beings from his own limitations。He uses two opposing thinking ways to deduce the dimensionless dimension and the conception and belief of the existence of the perfect creator.Finally,he regards "the constant distance between human and God" as his belief.In the confrontation of "Limited-infinite",he thoroughly understood that suffering is eternal and inevitable,and he also saw an eternal path to strive for deity and perfection.The second chapter mainly discusses Shi Tiesheng’s respect for individual life from two aspects.One is on the night of writing,he listened attentively to the forgotten and symbolized mind,and used writing itself to resist the "unbearable lightness" of the soul.The two is to discuss Shi Tiesheng’s exploration of the significance of the spiritual dimension of human beings.He named it "the truth of the truth",and thought what humans perceiving and influencing on human beings is existence.He affirmed the important role of dreams and so on,and broadened the dimension of human life from this spiritual level.The third chapter discusses the ultimate path which was pointed out by Shi Tiesheng for mankind from two angles of "love" and "confession".Shi Tiesheng’s "thought of repentance" is not a simple religious sense of repentance of sin and evil,rather than see the lack of human nature through comparing the perfection of the divine nature。Therefore he is able to maintain humility,compassion and understanding for all individuals and all things.Through that he able to complete the belief in love,which is the methodology of his faith,and it is the human being ’s ultimate way that he found through keep writing and thinking,which full of his care for people.
