| This thesis attempts at discussing one work in the scroll of Xuejiang Guizhao Tu(Pictures of Returning Boats Along a Snowy River),and making comparison between the works of the same era and historical period with the similar theme,techniques and style,with a view to unraveling the internal evolution logical relationship of its pattern language and expression methods in the development of painting history.The internal relations between Xuejiang Guizhao Tu and other related works of the same era and theme in terms of historical background,ink-brush languages,style,pattern,aesthetic spirit,are examined.Through in-depth study of this case,it is hoped to reveal the whole picture,by which one can deeply explore the internal formal evolution of scene creation in Chinese classical landscape paintings,thereby obtain a deeper understanding.Through literature review and with the combination of personal experience in painting creation,this thesis absorbs previous results of research and creations theoretically and practically in terms of the theme of snowy landscape paintings,so as to refine the formal language of classical landscape painting from the angle of creative practice and draw lessons and inspirations for contemporary creation of landscape paintings.Returning back to the creation situation of modern landscape painting,this thesis strives to display the new creation style and outlook of contemporary snowy landscape paintings.It is absolutely not facsimileing to represent nature but drawing upon the past to create the present. |
