| As one of the three major religions in the world,Buddhism was introduced from India to China as early as the Qin and Han dynasties.Due to the different time,way,region and national culture,social and historical background,three kinds of Chinese Buddhism system with Chinese national characteristics formed in China,namely Han Buddhism,Tibetan Buddhism and Southern Buddhism,have formed their own unique characteristics,which are reflected through the doctrine,painting,architecture and so on.Qutan Temple in Ledu,Qinghai Province,is located at the hub of the cultural exchange between Han and Tibetan Buddhism.It embodies the exchange and collision between two different cultures in the aspects of Buddhist art and architectural art.The mixture of Han and Tibetan murals is a major feature of Qutan Temple’s murals.By analyzing the contents and themes of Qutan temple murals,this paper it divides into the Chinese Buddhism style and the Tibetan Buddhism style two kinds of murals,the classification combs two kinds of different style murals the character’s modelling,the composition,the line,the color and the technique application and so on the artistic language characteristic,the interpretation Qutan Temple Han,Tibetan two kinds of murals art technique and the esthetic tendency,Absorbing the experience and methods acquired by the ancients,grasping the spirit essence of the Chinese traditional mural art,and digging out the deep cultural connotation and value significance of the ancient law mural.Comparing with the traditional painting of Han and Tibetan Buddhism,the author thinks that the frescoes of Han Buddhism,represented by the gallery of Qutan Temple,are influenced by the painting of the court of the Ming Dynasty,and inherits and develops the characteristics of the painting of the style of the two Song dynasties.Influenced by the regional culture,folk culture and other factors in the Ming Dynasty,the Tibetan Buddhist style frescoes,represented by the three main halls,inherited the characteristics of traditional Tibetan Buddhism paintings,but also absorbed and accommodated the outstanding elements in the Han painting.And the mixed painting of Han and Tibetan themes reflects the acceptance and integration of Tibetan Buddhist painting to Han painting,and also reflects the state of communication and integration between Han and Tibetan cultures. |
