| Suicide is a very distressing topic. The number of suicides in the world each year is constantly rising, and it is becoming younger and younger. At present, although the conclusions about the suicide rate of college students in our country are not very consistent, they are still relatively high compared with other groups. Therefore,we focus on the generation of suicide ideas in college students.Suicidal behavior is not an individual’s direct and direct suicide behavior.Suicidal ideation is a key link of suicidal behavior. It is an idea or idea that produces self-death or self-destruction in the individual’s brain. In general, the starting point of suicidal behavior is the generation of self-destructive thoughts, suicidal ideation.Studies have shown that normal people’s suicidal behavior is far inferior to people with suicidal ideation, and college students face various social problems and school problems, and the issue of immature ones is the high-risk group among people who produce suicidal ideation. The direct leading factor in the production of suicidal ideation is the external negative life event. Therefore,in order to improve the quality of life of college students,to be able to live safely and healthily in college life,it is of great significance to study the status quo of college students’ suicidal ideation, the influence of negative life events on suicidal ideation and the intermediate influence variables. This study used the following scales: Adolescent Life Events Scale(ASLEC),Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS),Core Self-Evaluation Scale(CSES),and Suicide Ideation Scale(SIOSS)as research tools for Sichuan Normal University More than 700 university students from three universities,Sichuan Vocational and Technical College and Jiangxi Normal University, performed the tests. In this study, the detection rate of suicidal ideation was compared, and the basic differences of suicidalideation in demographic variables were compared. In addition, negative life events, core self-evaluation,perceived social support, and suicidal ideation. The relationship was explored, the data was tested to test whether it meets our proposed hypothesis model. The findings are as follows:(1)The difference in the demographic variables for those with or without suicidal ideation is that there are statistically significant differences between students of different sexes, grades, and home locations. The demographic variables without significant differences are whether they are only children. There are no significant differences in demographic variables between suicidal ideation.(2)There are significant correlations between suicidal ideation and negative life events and their various dimensions, core self-evaluation,perceived social support and their various dimensions. The core self-evaluation and perceived social support were negatively correlated with suicidal ideation. There was a significant negative correlation between negative life events and perceived social support and core self-assessment.The core self-assessment was significantly positively correlated with perceived social support..Stepwise regression analysis results show that negative life events can positively predict suicidal ideation, core self-evaluation,and perceived social support can negatively predict suicidal ideation.(3)In the process of negative life events affecting suicidal ideation, the core self-assessment serves as an intermediary and comprehends social support as an intermediary. In the process of the core self-evaluation on the suicidal ideation, one of the ways is that the core self-evaluation directly acts on the suicidal ideation, and the other way is the core self-evaluation-perceived social suppor-suicidal ideation. |
