| The united front is one of the three magic weapons of the Chinese Communist Party’s victory in the revolution.Since 1949 year,the Chinese government organize and serve for the Overseas Chinese sightseeing group,and expect to expand China’s influence in abroad,get rid of the negative publicity from west camp to China,enhance Overseas Chinese’s recognition and understanding of China,earn Chinese Diasporas’ support.In the same period,Taiwan authorities are also taking the same approach to compete with mainland China for Overseas Chinese.The organization and service for Overseas Chinese sightseeing group is an important practice in the policy toward overseas Chinese affairs,and also an important measure of China’s united front work to Overseas Chinese.Based on the Overseas Chinese sightseeing group as the research key,and in the background of cold war and the division of the Overseas Chinese community,this paper mainly studies the contents and goal of China’s united front work to Overseas Chinese sightseeing group,teased the organization,composition,categories,and activities of Overseas Chinese sightseeing group.Try to analysis and evaluate the impact and the influence of this policy.The last,I will adopt the method of comparative research,take the Thailand and Indonesia for example,to explore the difference of Overseas Chinese sightseeing group.To this day,there are kinds of cultural summer camp,cultural tour and various overseas Chinese delegation meetings are the extension and upgrade of the Overseas Chinese sightseeing group.This article attempts to summary the gain and loss and experience of the united front policy on overseas Chinese through the study of the Overseas Chinese sightseeing group,in order to provide some effective advices for us to deal with the united front work and various activities to Overseas Chinese,especially to balance of the influence from Taiwan’ similar practices,better strive for support and cultivate the resources more effectively of Overseas Chinese. |
