Researching On The Relationship Between Shanghai And Hong Kong Film Industry In The Early Period Of The P.R.C(1949-1952)

The study of Shanghai-HongKong film industry relations is a frequently-talked-about topic in the study of Chinese Film History.Shanghai and Hong Kong,as two important film industry towns in Chinese Film History,have jointly promoted the development of Chinese films.Different from the three times“South to Hong Kong” of Shanghai Filmmakers in the early history of Chinese film,the relationship between the Shanghai-Hong Kong film industry was a interaction between the Shanghai private film industry and the HongKong left-wing film company in order to support and cater to the literature and art policy of new China.This article is divided into three parts.The first chapter is entitled "The History of the Private Film Industry in Shanghai and Hong Kong after the Anti-Japanese War and the Founding of the People’s Republic of China".It mainly discusses the impact of the drastic changes in the domestic situation after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War on the private film industry in Shanghai and the future of Hong Kong’s film industry;Chapter 2 is entitled "Interactive Relationship between Shanghai and Hong Kong Films at the Beginning of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China".It mainly reflects the change of attitude of the new regime to Shanghai’s private film industry and Hong Kongleft-wing film companies from the perspective of literature and art policy.It also depicts that creative staff of private film industry in Shanghai and Hong Kong consciously carried out ideological reforms inside and outside the screen;The third chapter,entitled “The Contemporary Significance of the History of Shanghai-Hong Kong Film Relations at the Beginning of New China”,is the author’s opinion on this paper.This chapter depicts the destruction and vicissitude of the old Shanghai movie tradition and its enlightenment to the development of Chinese films on the Mainland,Taiwan and Hong Kong in the new era.
