At present,the education of teaching Chinese as a foreign language is booming,and the relevant education theory is improving.Correspondingly,hundreds of textbooks for teaching Chinese as a second language have come into being.In the current various of teaching materials,Developing Chinese with high quality,becomes the main teaching material for teaching Chinese as a second language in many colleges and universities in China.Meanwhile,Some imperfections still exist in “Developing Chinese”.It cannot fully adapt to the higher teaching and learning requirements of teaching Chinese as a second language.It is imperative to further improve the teaching material.Idiom is an important part of Chinese culture.It is a bright pearl in the treasury of Chinese.After more than two thousand years of long-term development.Up to now,there are still a lot of idioms that are widely used in our daily life.Learning idioms is an important way for foreign students to improve their Chinese and understand Chinese culture.Therefore,in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the proportion of idioms is quite large.With the improvement of Chinese proficiency,learners need to master more and more idioms in their learning process.However,Most of these idioms appear in a set of textbooks with advanced stage.It can be seen that we need to study the idioms in the advanced teaching materials of "developing Chinese".Based on the advanced comprehensive and oral English teaching materials of "developing Chinese",the author studies the idioms that appear in these textbooks including the number of these idioms,recurrence rate,distribution,meaning category,grammatical structure,cultural implication and so on.Finally,combining with related idioms,this thesis analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of this set of textbooks in the selection and practice of idioms.Finally,the author combines the relevant problem sets,and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of this set of textbooks in the selection and practice of idioms.In view of the shortcomings,Aiming at the shortcomings,the corresponding improvement suggestions and textbook compilation suggestions are put forward.
