In recent years, the influence of emotion on decision-making has attracted more and more people’s attention.Existing research in this area confirms that emotion plays a key role.Emotion regulation has a certain influence on decision making. This developing research topic needs more research to enrich it.To investigate whether there are differences in the emotional status of senior high school students in different altitude areas in Q province and the influence of different types of emotional regulation strategies on risk decision-making under positive and negative emotions.Divided into two studies,Study I used questionnaires to analyze the differences in the mood of high school students at different altitudes, and analyzed whether there were differences in gender and grade. In Study 2,a mixed-experiment design using questionnaires and experimental methods was used to describe the characteristics of high school students’ use of emotional regulation strategies.Subjects were divided into cognitive reassessment group, expression inhibition group, and non-adjustment group to prepare for follow-up experiments. The grouped students were then used as subjects, and 3 experimental designs(emotional regulation strategies: cognitive reassessment, expression inhibition,no adjustment)× 2(emotion type: positive emotion, negative emotion)were used. The dependent variable is the risk decision-making behavior of the participant, and the total recalled score is used as a measure. The results show that:(1)There are significant differences in the types of high school students’ emotions at different altitudes.High altitude students experience more intense negative emotions. There are grade differences and gender differences in the types of emotions at the same altitude.(2)There are differences in the impact of different emotional types on high school students’ risk decision-making.In positive emotional state, subjects tend to seek risk;in negative emotional situations, subjects tend to avoid risks.(3)There are differences in risk decision-making behaviors among students at different altitudes.Subjects at higher altitudes tend to be more risk-seeking and have differences in gender.Boys tend to be more risk-seeking than girls.(4)High school students in different altitude areas all showed that under the positive emotional state, participants in the cognitive reassessment group were more inclined to seek risk than those in the expression inhibition group;while in the negative emotion state, the expression suppression group was more Tend to risk aversion.
