| Environmental protection documentary is a subunit of ecological environment documentary which has attracted much attention in recent years.In the era of severe ecological crisis,environmental protection documentary is someone who not only records the environment,but also displays the environmental history,maps environmental reality and keeps watch the future of the environment.As is known to all,the nature and environment al protection documentaries in France have a grand proposition with which are expensive and skillful,and can also be called “cross-border documentary benchmarks.” Although China’s environmental protection documentaries have started relatively late,they have sprung up like bamboo shoots after a spring rain which can be described as “rising star”.Therefore,the Sino-French environmental protection documentary not only needs to compete,learning from each other’s strengths to offset their weakness,but also goes hand in hand,seeking common development.Stories have always been popular among the public,documentary storytelling is also a necessary way to develop today and narration is the mission to burden story-telling.Documentary narrative is the art of transmitting the content of the story by the form of narration.The variety of narrative choice makes the image narrative colorful.The narration of environment al protection documentary tells the whole story by a variety of narrative techniques,highlighting the theme and intention of environmental protection.From the perspective of narratology,this paper studies the narrative characteristics of environmental protection documentaries in China and France by using the theoretical tools of narratology,and adopts longitudinal combing of its development context,horizontal comparison of its narrative similarities and differences of research methods for in-depth analysis.The full text is divided into four chapters.In the first chapter,the concept of environmental protection documentary is defined and expounded,which includes the origin of environmental documentary and its classification,its function and its development status in the world.In the second chapter,according to the historical evolution of the narrative concept and natural view of the environmental protection documentaries of China and France,it clearly presents its narrative context,the development and changes of creative ideas in each period,and the innovation and application of narrative strategies.In the third chapter,it will explore the narrative common character of environmental protection images in China and France,and analyze the coexistence value of its isomorphism and similarity from the three angles of narrative theme,narrative rhetoric and narrative ethics.In the fourth chapter,the text to focus on the analysis of paragraph in the chapter from the different narrative perspective,narrative style differences,narrative strategy differences,narrative reality view of the four levels to discuss the differences between the Chinese and French documentaries on environmental protection narrative divergence and examples. |
