Network Violent Game And Aggressive Behavior:The Impact Of Coping Style And Social Support

In our country,playing network violent game is on the increasing.At the same time,the violence and the bloody that the game contain is also increasing,the scene of the game is getting closer to the actual situation.However,a study about the relationship between network violent game and aggression behaviour is in the dispute all the time.Both here and abroad,the controversy over it is never stop.Some psychologists,led by Anderson and Bushman,thought that network violent game was the pre-dependent variable that led to aggressive behavior.While the other psychologist,Ferguson,agreed that the generation of aggressive behavior was mainly influenced by their personality.And network violent game in which only played the role of catalyst.Aimed at this dispute,this paper used convenient sampling method to select the university students who come from Harbin,Hei Longjiang,Ganzhou,Fujian,Lanzhou,Gansu,and Wuhan,Hubei as the research participates,and then,distributed the Video Game Questionnaire,Simple Coping Style Questionnaire,Social Support Revalued Scale and Aggression Questionnaire to them.To analyze the relationship between network violent game and aggressive behavior,and to explore the mechanism of coping style and social support.On the basis of enriching the research on the relationship between network violent game and aggression behaviour,and then,provide some advice on the impact that the network violent game cause the aggression behaviour.The research draws the following conclusions:(1)The amount of contact network violent game and aggressive behavior are generally below-average,while the coping style and social support of university students are at the middle level.(2)Among the three variables of gender,grade,and whether they are the only child,there are significant differences in the amount of contact network violent game,but the scores are not significant in the three variables of age,specialty and family location;In both gender and grade,there are significant differences between positive coping style and negative coping style,while in the negative coping style,only the age and specialty have significant differences,as for positive coping style,there is no significant difference,family location and whether they are the only child,There is no significant difference both in positive coping style and negative coping style;In social support,there are in gender and grade have significant differences,in age,specialty,whether they are the only child and family location,there have no significant differences;About aggression behavior,only in the gender,there have significant differences,but in age,grade,specialty,whether they are the only child and different family location was not significant.(3)There is a positive correlation between the amount of contact network violent game and aggression behavior;There is a negative significant correlation between the amount of contact network violent game and the positive coping style,while the correlation between the negative coping style does not reach the significance level;There is a significant negative correlation between the amount of contact network violent game and social support;The positive coping style of university students is positively correlated with social support,while negative coping style is not related to social support;The positive coping style of university students is negatively correlated with the aggression behavior,while negative coping style is positively correlated with aggression behavior;There is a significant negative correlation between social support and aggressive behavior of university students.(4)Social support is a mediator in the relationship between network violent game and aggressive behavior;positive coping style and negative coping style have a moderator effect in the relationship between social support and aggressive behavior,there is a moderated mediating effect.
