A Corpus-based Study On The Vocabulary Usage Change In Wenhui Daily

The Mass communication property of newspapers and periodicals,the functions of times,information and knowledge make the language of newspapers and periodicals not only record and preserve the language changes of each historical period,but also show the changes of social political orientation,social economic development,social value orientation,and mass existence.Therefore,this paper studies the use of the vocabulary of Wenhui Daily(1938-1999)by referring to the previous research results of the newspapers and periodicals,and using many theories put forward by linguists.In this paper,(1938-1999)Wenhui Daily graphic disc database as a source of data,using a sampling method,the annual January 25,including all the pages of a total of 3,199 articles as sample quantity.First textual research and screening out these 3,199 articles used in all the ancient words,square words and new words,and each of these terms entered into(1938-1999)Wenhui Daily in the database of graphic and optical discs in the statistical system,every word in every year(1938-1999)Wenhui Daily The number of articles appearing in the article and the frequency of use to retrieve;then on the basis of statistics on the number of words,number of articles and frequency of use of each type of words,the use of each kind of vocabulary in1938-1949(Liberation War Period),1950-1965(the beginning of New China),1966-1977(" The Cultural Revolution "period",1978-1999(reform and opening up the new period)These four periods of change to carry on the statistical analysis;then in the study part of the use change of each kind of word,this article respectively carries on the classified statistical analysis to the most representative aspect of each kind of word in these four period changes.At last,this paper integrates the changes of each kind of words in use,and analyzes the change characteristics and changing factors of the use of the words in Wen Wei Po.This paper is composed of six parts.The first part is the research status of the domestic and foreign newspapers and periodicals,and the study of the language vocabulary of Wen Wei PoWenhui Daily.In addition,the main purpose,significance,method and overall thinking of the topic are expounded.The second part,mainly on the source of the simple introduction and explanation,namely Wenhui Daily development process and(1938-1999)Wenhui Daily graphic Disc database introduction.The third part--the fifth part,mainly on the Wenhui Daily ancient Words,Wenhui Daily side words,Wenhui Daily new words in 1938-1949,1950-1965,1966-1977,1978-1999 Four period of the use of the vocabulary changes in statistical analysis.In each part,the thesis firstly defines each kind of word set on the basis of the scholars ’ research,then carries on the concrete data statistics and the analysis from the whole vocabulary’s use quantity,the article number,the usage frequency respectively in the different time.After analyzing the change of the usage frequency of the whole word set,this paper classifies the specific situation of the frequency distribution of words,and gives a detailed explanation and analysis of each case through the example words.Then the paper analyzes the syllable and historical level distribution of ancient words,the distribution of dialects in dialect,the use range and source distribution of new words,and probes into the diversification of three kinds of word sets.The sixth part,mainly on the third part of the analysis and summary of the fifth part of the integration,the Wenhui Daily Vocabulary Use change characteristics,the use of changes in the overall analysis of factors.
