The Study Of Animal Narration In Chi Zijian’s Novels

Chi Zijian’s novels has a rich image of animals,and in her animal narration,her unique life consciousness,aesthetic orientation,human awareness and narrative strategy are highlighted.This thesis aims to study the theme type,narrative mode and narrative motivation of Chi Zijian’s animal narration,and explores the unique value of her animal narration.The thesis is divided into three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction is mainly about the definition of the related concepts of animal narration,the research status of Chi Zijian and the animal narration in her novels and the research methods of this thesis.The text consists three chapters,the first chapter summarizes four theme types of Chi Zijian’s animal narration: the praise of people and animals’ harmonious relationship,the exploration of the future direction of human and nature,the anxiety of human nature alienation in modern society and the consideration of human’s comfortable state of living.The second chapter reserchs the pattern of Chi Zijian’s animal narration from the perspective of animals,the space time of narration and animal image three aspects,and also analyzes the meaning and function of these narrative methods.The third chapter studies the reason for Chi Zijian frequently bring animals into narration,and researches three motivation including regional culture and folk tradition,childhood memories and abundant imagination,life experience and aesthetic pursuit The conclusion part compares Chi Zijian’s animal narration with other writers from the viewpoints of both synchronic and diachronic,Chi Zijian’s animal narration highlights the mysterious culture in the northland of China,shows her persistence of writing beautiful things,her animal narration truly has the value of literary history.In this part,I also analyzes some drawbacks of Chi Zijian’s novels.
