Many of the titles of the works themselves are the geographical names of the borders, such as Golden Himalayas,Oriental Grand Canyon and Ancient Tea Horse Road. But for a long time, people did not pay enough attention to it in the research of Jing Yi’s works. The thesis attempts to explore the works of Jing Yi by writing the marginal writing as a research incision. The thesis consists of three parts: the introduction, the body and the epilogue. The introduction part first elaborates the reason of the thesis topic selection, emphasizes that the study of Jing Yi’s works from the perspective of the edgeland is a new development of his literary studies.Secondly,The research status quo at home and abroad are sorted out, pointing out the key points and innovations of this thesis; Finally, the value and significance of the research on this topic is illustrated. The body part consists of three chapters: The first chapter summarizes the narrative land in Jing Yi’s works.Jing Yi works in the narrative side mainly include three: western edge of Yunnan,Himalaya and Xinjiang border. The three sides are located inhabited by ethnic minorities in western China. The traditional customs of ethnic minorities, the dialectal narrative language and colorful ethnic images in the works reflect the persistent enthusiasm of the writer on the frontier. The second chapter explores the spiritual connotation in the writing of Jing Yi’s works and discusses the three aspects, namely, the national tradition in the modern context, the multiculturalism in the border writing and the construction of the national imagination community. With the promotion of the globalization era,the border culture inhabited by ethnic minorities suffers from the double impact of the Han culture and the Western modernity culture.Faced with this situation, individuals, nations and countries all face the problem of identification: the awakening of the modern women’s consciousness in the Bai ethnic group;the anxiety of ethnic culturesin the "otherness" and the construction of the imaginative community of the Chinese nation(China). The third chapter discusses the literary value reflected in the writing of Jing Yi’s works. This part includes three aspects: JingYi’s writing on the border puts forward another possibility as feminine literature and even contemporary literature, that is,the writing of multi-ethnic subjects;the reappearance and sticking to the frontier are not only the need of writer’s writing strategy,The new vitality of literature provides useful enlightenment;the persistence of "literary spirit" in the borderland writing shows the value of intellectuals. The conclusion part summarizes this essay, and puts forward the enlightenment meaning of such writing to the present Chinese literature. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | JingYi, Borderland, Modernity, Culture, Nation-state, Literary value | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
