| Wu Changshuo was one of the “Haipai Four Groups” member at the end of the Qing Dynasty,and a great master with “Four Unique Skills” after Zhao Zhiqian.Wu’s artistic language guided the trend of the times in the end of 19 th century and the beginning of 20 th century,his artistic thought adapted the psychological need of the intellectual and kept the charm of the painting of scholar forever,which made him an important artist in the fileds of painting at the end of the Qing Dynasty.From the extent of Wu Changshuo’s artistic life,it can be found that he was continually “friendship” in the development of his art.The style of his friendship activities in his artistic fields were simulating old paintings,inscription in paintings each other,making friends through paintings,visiting outsides,setting up community for painting discussion,in other words,the formation of Wu’s artistic creation and style was the result of the integrated social and environment impacts.It is the extensive friendship that make the friendship plays important roles in his artistic development.Through friendship,making Wu’s artistic theory more mature,technique more skilled,theme richer.If we analyze Wu’s artistic theory in his big friendship surroundings,we can understand the resource,development,worth and meaning of Wu’s artistic theory and creation.Wu’s friendship groups can be classified into three categories,including old person,persons in same time and bureaucrat.He was diligent and eager to learn knowledge,modesty and enterprising,which support good conditions for Wu’s development and spread of art.Though Wu’s spirit of aesthetics of painting art was inherited from the “conservation” of the ancient.Wu ventured to break the convention of the creation style,introduced the West,the gas of the gold stone,the vulgar to the painting,he blended the subject affection to the performance of the age,destroyed the impotence of the traditional painting group totally,overturned the fresh and elegant style of the traditional scholar painting,revolution the traditional scholar painting and made it more era characteristic.Wu’s spirit of aesthetics of painting art of transforming the old to the new,which inherited and aberrance from the traditional literary thought,the formation of Wu’s artistic creation and style was the result of the integrated social and environment impacts.This paper is aimed at putting Wu under the culture environment,researching the process of the creation and spreading of Wu’s artistic thought from the point of making and visiting,and reflecting the influence of the era environment to the artistic creation from the artistic thought changing of a famous artist,and then come up with some supplement of Wu’s research and some enlightenment in the art creation and development of the present age artists. |
